How to find Clooneenagh House from ENNIS
If you’re coming via Ennis then follow the signs for Kilrush N68. (From the Ennis bypass its signposted Ennis, Ennistymon, and Kilrush) Keep following the signs for Kilrush and then about 15 miles out of Ennis take a right turn for Kilmihil R 484 (big green direction sign). Turn right at the crossroads in the middle of the village about 200 yards after the Topaz, and then follow the attached map.
i.e. Go passed the secondary school, continue for about 2 miles and keep following the road at a Y junction; another mile and you will go through a crossroads from which you can see the sea in the distance. ¼ mile after that crossroad there is a wide stone entrance with a cattle grid on the right and our house is right at the top of the hill behind the trees (not the 1970s bungalow halfway up the avenue)
(Warning! If you have a Satnav and it tells you to turn right after Lissycasey, just ignore it)
How to find Clooneenagh House from FROM KILRUSH / CREE
If you’re coming from Kilrush, take the Milltown Malbay road and when you reach the village of Cree, turn right at the crossroads just up the hill from the church. After about two miles you will see a two-storey red house on the left as you are going up a hill. The entrance to our avenue is about 100 yards past that house, also on the left. We are right at the top of the avenue behind the trees, not the 1970s bungalow before the trees.
How to find Clooneenagh House from FROM KILKEE
Follow the coast road through Doonbeg and then bear right towards Cree at the thatched house. Straight across at the crossroads in Cree. After about two miles you will see a two-storey red house on the left as you are going up a hill. The entrance to our avenue is about 100 yards past that house, also on the left. We are right at the top of the avenue behind the trees, not the 1970s bungalow before the trees.
