Details of Chair 1548
A set of Six Victorian Rosewood dining chairs
Details: Good quality, very attractive set made in Rosewood - not quite a balloon-back but this shape is sometimes referred to as a buckle-back.
Turned front legs and a double-ended scrolled mid rail.
Rosewood is a strong and beautifully figured exotic timber of the Dalbergia family and Brazilian Rosewood is now recognised by the United Nations as an endangered species: It gets its name from the smell of roses when it is sawn but please don’t saw up your rosewood furniture.
There is some relatively minor repair work to be done prior to upholstery with a fabric of the new owner’s choice.
